Fiesta2013

It’s that time of the year again. A time when the city of San Antonio indulges in two weeks of drinking, eating and various other activities that denote Fiesta. While I tend to shy away from over eating and over drinking, I do like to enjoy a few of the festivities each year. The carnival is always fun, the parades are crowded but always interesting, and as a designer I can now look at various aspects of Fiesta through a slightly different prism. In other words, I appreciate this annual event for different reasons compared to years past. Plus, it’s a great time to dust off my various cameras and take some pictures.

This particular morning I was in a rather weird state of mind as I walked into work. Oddly enough, our office was in a weird state of existence. Indeed, various individuals decided some Fiesta decorations were in order. I walked to my desk and discovered confetti peppered all over it. I smiled, sat down and began reading emails. Then I realized a tiny donkey was staring at me. I picked it up, and began gathering the confetti into more manageable piles on my desk. “Piles” being the keyword here. A “pile” of confetti as it were. It got me thinking. This is the result of said thinking.
